Imam Zain Al-bideen and the Distressed Doe

Jabir son of yazeed Al-Ja’afy narrates in the words of imam Al-Baqir saying: “Ali son Of Hussain was sitting with a group of people when a doe approached from the desert. She stood in front of the imam and started whining  and stomping her hooves on the ground. Some asked: “ O’ son of the prophet of God, What’s wrong with this doe? She has come to you calmly and without fear .  The imam Replied: “ remember  a son of Yazeed asked his father for a fawn, He ordered a few hunters to hunt down one for him. He caught this doe’s fawn yesterday and she hadn’t fed him, she is asking for us to bring back her fawn to be fed and she will return him after that.
Imam Zain Al-Abdieen then asked for the hunter and then told him: “ This doe claims that you have taken her fawn and that she hasn’t fed him milk since you’ve  taken  him. She has asked me to ask you to gift her her fawn.” The hunter replied: “ O’ son of the prophet of God I don’t dare to do so.”  The imam replied: “ I am asking you to bring her the fawn so she can nourish it to which then she would give it back”.  When the doe saw her fawn she started whining and her tears were streaming. The imam told the hunter: “ with my right over yours, give the fawn back to her”. The hunter did as the imam told and the doe  went away with her fawn saying: “ I testify that you are from the household of mercy, and Bani Umaya are from the cursed household”.”
