Bahlul and the Throne of Haroon

One day Bahlul was jumping on Haroon’s throne, to which the guards forcibly removed him from, by hitting and shouting at him. He ran off crying. Haroon then came and asked about the reason of Bahlul’s crying; the guards responded by saying :”he’s crying because  he was sitting on your throne and we removed him, because no one is worthy of sitting on the throne of Haroon”. Haroon asked Bahlul : “ is this why you’re crying?” Bahlul replied : “I cry for someone like you- how can you sit on the throne of the sons of Fatima Al-Zahra, what will you answer your Lord on the day of judgment”. Bahlul’s clever remark was a reminder to Haroon’s oppressive and inhumane behavior towards the prophet’s household (PBUH&HP) and followers.
