The Prophet, Ali, and the Bee

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his progeny) was seated with Imam Ali Bin Abu Taleb in a garden full of plants and trees. A bee approached them and spinned above their heads. The Prophet asked Imam Ali: “Do you know what this bee is saying?” Imam Ali replied: “Prophet of God what is it saying?” The Prophet answered and said: “This bee is hosting us today and said I kept you an amount of honey in a place such and such. Send your brother, the Prince of Believers (Ali), to that place to bring it.”  And while Imam Ali left to get the honey, The prophet spoke to the bee, saying: “Your food is from bitter flowers, how is your honey so sweet?” The bee replied: “Prophet of God, the sweetness of honey is from the blessings of the mention of you and your holy family’s name. We are inspired to pray upon you and your holy family three times while we collect the nectar from the flowers, As we finish praying, our honey becomes sweet.”
